FREEDOM’S CALL The beautiful and masterful
Concerto Fantasia's orchestral palette opens up a broad spectrum
of imaginative pictures of liberty. Quartet in D Flat Major, the
first movement , exhibits a rare quality of attractive beauty
and finesse as the instruments blend together in harmony as one
compliments and supplements each other. Glorious Rondo depicts
the pathway of freedom in a classical manner yet with some
romantic overtones. We now Look Forward wistfully to a brighter
future full of freedom and promise of a better life. Waltz in D
flat Major continues the mood of hope and the possibility of
entering into a more wonderful existence. King's Bounty is the
achieving of a richer and more abundant destiny. With great
dignity the Organ Voluntary steers us along a pathway of
grandeur yet constantly evokes a feeling of purity. In the
depths of trouble is the opening scenario of the Double T Study
but freedom is assured in the beautiful theme that flows through
trust and overcomes the darkness of the past and even the
present. Freedom's Call is then fully revealed through the
orchestral unfolding of the splendour of what is not only
possible but most likely probable if we truly obey Freedom's
Call.

THE CELTIC HEART is a CD encapsulating the
apotheosis of the Celtic moods, aspirations and character. The
instruments are electronically produced to simulate exciting and
authentic type Celtic rhythms and tunes. You are immediately
transported to Ireland and Scotland and other strongholds of the
Celtic past and present. The Celtic Heart begins its journey
with graphic depictions of town life represented by A Celtic
Town and Ode to Castlebar. Further on the listener gets a feel
for Celtic dancing in Celtic Reel and a massive emotional
swelling as Celtic Waters Are Flowing. Towards the completion of
the CD is the signature melody The Celtic Heart and the music
pleasantly completes its Celtic tour with A Walk by the Bay.

VIBES Of GLORY
The compact disc recording Vibes of Glory,
presents a number of completely new and refreshing pieces of
music based on traditional formats but with a series of engaging
new tunes. All these pieces have been composed during the past
few years and released in 2001 by the contemporary composer,
John Macdonald. This music is basically intended for piano
interpretation but is here recorded in an electronic format from
a computer base. Most of the pieces are best described as light
hearted contemporary music. Miniature Bells is a joyful piece
with a tintinnabular effect while Caribbean Holiday is intended
to make the listener desire a breakaway from everyday routine to
some exotic tropical isle. Harvest Time has a spring/summer
feeling of working out on the farm and Yesterday is reflective
of what could have been but let's go on. Recollections is of a
similar nature, however it demonstrates a greater variety of
memory moods. Peaceful Waters is a piece created to help
listeners relate to tranquility and bring peace and joy to the
burdened worker. Joyous Bach romps away with several related
melodies to say things are fine and let's get moving. Blue
Mediterranean is a descriptive piece depicting the peaceful side
of the sea. Wind Study is fast and short like the force and
momentum of gusts of wind. Playmates and Kid's Play both are
quite fanciful pieces that reflect the changeable joys of
childhood. Morning Impromptu brings back the grander style of
the drawing room atmosphere while Lullaby is happy and cheerful
and could be used as a cradle song. Judah evokes a strong
passion and regard for Hebrew styles of musical expression and
contrasts with A Voice Spoke a type of unsung lied music with
divine connections. Finally Down at the Match recalls the build
up of excitement that is generated as the match proceeds to a
climax. Now It's Over says it all but even if it is finished the
piece gives promise of better days to come.
